Established in 1981, Storebrand Asset Management (SAM) is part of the Storebrand Group, which is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and was founded in 1767. SAM is the largest private asset manager in Norway, providing a range of investment services to over 300 institutional clients and managing £83bn, including £1bn on behalf of UK pension schemes.
SAM is recognised as a global leader on sustainability issues – particularly climate, biodiversity, nature and deforestation. We recently helped drive unified investor support for climate policy commitments for COP26 and the launch of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD).
